From the Director
"The important thing is not so much that every child should be taught, as that every child should be given the wish to learn."
-Sir John Lubbock
Mentor Graphics CDC has been working with young children and families for over 20 years. Since it’s inception in 1992, the Child Development Center has provided a high quality program for families with children birth through preschool. The CDC has built an outstanding reputation in the field of early education in the Portland-Metro area and is recognized by the National Association for the Education of Young Children as an accredited program. Over the years we have received many inquiries from neighbors regarding our on-site Child Development Center (CDC). We are pleased to offer a portion of our enrollment spots to the community to support our business and education model.
I hope that the website offers you a wealth of information about the CDC to help you understand the caliber of care we are offering on campus. The decision regarding the first place of care and education for your young child is a very difficult one for many families. The demands of balancing the very unique needs of young children are growing increasingly more complex. In our 22 years of operation, we have helped ease the transition from home to school by providing continuity, low teacher to child ratios and innovative and creative hands-on curriculum. I feel confident that Mentor Graphics Child Development Center can partner with families by providing not only a safe, healthy, joyful and engaging environment for children but also a supportive culture for parents. I am proud of the strong relationships children and families build with the CDC teachers. And, of the life long friendships that develop between children as a result of the time they have spent together at the CDC. I feel that this kind of school, one that welcomes both children and their families, is critical in the early years.
